What a 13-week forecast is, and why banks ask for one
Thirteen weeks is one quarter, counted week by week. It is short enough to be accurate and long enough to act on.
A 13-week cash forecast lists what you expect to receive and pay each week for the next quarter.
Weekly detail shows the dip that a monthly view hides. A month can end in credit and still have a week in the red.
Lenders like it for the same reason: it shows you know when cash will be tight before it is.
